Kitchen Faucet Install
About This Project
This homeowner wanted to modernize their kitchen with a high-end Kohler pull-down faucet and an InSinkErator instant hot water dispenser. We removed the old two-handle faucet, upgraded the supply valves, installed a new deck plate, and connected the instant hot water system under the sink. The result is a sleek, functional kitchen centerpiece that makes meal prep and cleanup a breeze.

Challenge → Solution → Result
The Challenge
The existing supply lines were corroded galvanized steel with outdated gate valves that hadn't been turned in over a decade. The countertop hole was also non-standard, requiring careful adaptation to fit the new single-hole faucet without damaging the granite.
Our Approach
We started by shutting off the main water supply and carefully removing the old faucet assembly. We then replaced the galvanized supply lines with flexible braided stainless steel, installed new quarter-turn ball valves for reliable shut-off, and used a custom deck plate to bridge the extra countertop holes. The instant hot water dispenser was mounted with a dedicated circuit and connected to its own supply line under the sink.
The Result
The homeowner now has a modern, professional-grade kitchen setup with instant hot water on demand. The new quarter-turn valves provide peace of mind, and the pull-down sprayer makes kitchen cleanup effortless. Zero leaks at the 30-day follow-up inspection.
Key Work Performed
Supply Line Upgrade
All corroded galvanized supply lines were replaced with modern braided stainless steel flex lines, ensuring maximum durability and water flow.
Valve Replacement
Outdated gate valves were swapped for quarter-turn ball valves — providing instant, reliable shut-off in case of future maintenance or emergencies.
Hot Water Dispenser
An InSinkErator instant hot water system was installed with its own dedicated supply, delivering near-boiling water on demand for tea, coffee, and cooking.
